You Don’t Have to Share These Photos With Anyone
We live in a world where everything feels like it has to be shared. Posted. Explained. Justified.
A Secret Session is the opposite of that.
One of the first things clients tell me — especially women booking a session for the first time — is how relieving it feels to know there’s no expectation to share the photographs. Not online. Not with friends. Not with a partner. Not with anyone.
These sessions are photographed on instant film, which means there are no digital files, no cloud storage, and no lab involved. The images don’t live on my computer. They don’t exist on a hard drive somewhere. They are physical photographs that I hand directly to you.
And then they’re yours.
Whether your session takes place in your home in Highland Park, Mount Washington, South Pasadena, or Pasadena, the intention is always the same: privacy, comfort, and choice. You’re in your own space. On your own terms. With no audience.
For many women, that privacy is what makes the experience possible at all.
There’s something powerful about being photographed without needing to perform. Without needing to prove confidence or beauty or transformation. Without wondering how the images will be received by anyone else.
This isn’t about creating content.
It’s about creating a record.
A record of how you looked, yes — but more importantly, how you felt during this moment in your life. Maybe you’re in between chapters. Maybe you’re healing. Maybe nothing is changing at all, and that’s exactly why you want to remember it.
You get to decide what these photographs mean. You get to decide who sees them. You get to decide where they live.
For some clients, they’re tucked away in a drawer.
For others, they’re revisited years later.
For some, they’re never shared at all — and that’s more than enough.
In a world that constantly asks you to be visible, a Secret Session offers something quieter.
The freedom to keep something just for yourself.
